Spring and the Peony Express...

Whew! What a weekend.

It's been a busy Spring, and I've been trying to squeeze as much garden time as possible into the weekends.  This weekend was an annual plant sale in my neighbourhood, so I picked up a lot of plants that I am curious to see grow up.  Some bearded Iris, Peonies, White Aster, Tiger Lilies, a rose of Sharon tree, a trailing blush rose and lots of native flowering grasses for the front of the garden as a natural privacy screen.

When I saw these photos by photographer, Donatella http://instagram.com/donatellase,
I was so excited...terribly beautiful, rich floral shots that express so much abundance.

Have a great week everyone, hope it's beautiful and abundant~!

Are you there Spring? It's me, Anneke.

This seems to be the winter that won't let go.

Snow is blanketing the city once again, strangely after temperatures reached 20 degrees yesterday?  What a strange, strange Spring.

I'm taking us somewhere beautiful, magical and warm with this video, that has brought me a lot of joy on such a miserable day.

The images are from an ad campaign, that shows what happens when you stuff 8 million flower petals into a volcano as it bursts at the seams.  Taking over two weeks to collect the petals, I'm transporting us to the little Costa Rica town where petals fall from the sky, instead of snow.
